JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Organic Commodity Trader to join our feed team. The successful candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, identifying and pursuing new sales opportunities, and achieving sales targets within the market.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key clients in the organic feed industry.
- Identify and target potential customers to increase market share.
- Present, promote and sell feed products to existing and prospective clients.
- Conduct thorough market research to stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging opportunities within the raw commodities sector.
- Maintain an in-depth understanding of the commodity offered, including sourcing, quality standards, pricing, and logistical considerations.
- Lead negotiations with clients, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements that align with company objectives and client needs.
- Oversee the preparation, negotiation, and execution of sales contracts, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
- Provide exceptional post-sales support, addressing clients’ issues or concerns to ensure satisfaction and repeat business.
- Work closely with internal teams, including quality and operations, to ensure seamless execution of transactions.
- Prepare and present regular sales reports, forecasts, and market analyses to senior management.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- 3-7 years of experience in grain trading or the organic agriculture industry.
- A bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Economics, or a related field would be considered an asset.
