JOB SUMMARY
The Vice President, Commercial is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing and driving the company’s sales departments’ performance for food and feed ingredients. This role focuses on expanding markets, ensuring the profitability of products, providing inspiring leadership, managing risks, and aligning commercial strategies with the company’s growth objectives. The VP, Commercial will build and lead high-performing teams, cultivate strategic partnerships, and drive innovation to meet evolving market demands.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and implement comprehensive commercial strategies to drive market expansion and revenue growth.
- Provide strategic direction to identify and capitalize on emerging trends in the organic commodity industry.
- Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing sales teams for both food and feed ingredients.
- Set clear performance objectives and monitor team metrics to ensure accountability and success.
- Identify and pursue new market opportunities to expand the company’s footprint.
- Work with demand planning and supply chain framework to accurately forecast demand and ensure timely fulfillment.
- Establish and maintain relationships with key customers, suppliers, and industry stakeholders.
- Represent the company at industry events and trade shows to enhance visibility and build partnerships.
- Ensure the profitability of product lines by analyzing pricing strategies, market dynamics, and cost structures.
- Utilize market intelligence, sales data, and financial analytics to inform decision-making.
- Prepare and present regular reports on sales performance, market trends, and strategic initiatives.
- Foster strong collaboration with Sunrise Türkiye to align commercial efforts across regions.
- Identify synergies and opportunities for joint initiatives to enhance market presence and profitability.
- Facilitate knowledge sharing and best practices between teams to optimize global strategies.
- Oversee the budgeting process for the food and feed ingredients divisions, tracking performance against financial targets and customer specifications to ensure positive cashflow and sustainable earnings.
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES
- Extensive knowledge of feed and food-grade ingredients, market dynamics, and customer needs.
- Proven track record of driving revenue growth and market expansion.
- Strong understanding of financial metrics, risk management, and pricing strategies.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while maintaining a focus on strategic objectives.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce, or a related field; MBA or equivalent preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in sales leadership roles, preferably in commodity trading or the organic food/feed sector.
- Experience with ERP systems is highly desirable.
